My background comes from Underwater and Nature Photography. Whilst this may seem odd, I have found my best work to be a child of challenge and diversity, so being in an environment with perpetually changing conditions and subject that only graces you with its appearance for a fleeting moment is gloriously satisfying - and also develops one of my most valued skills; to get the best photograph possible every time.
My marine photography ranges from capturing the vast undulating beauty of the coral reef, to the passing pelagics down to the incredibly vibrant macro life and all the majesty in between.
Now branching in a natural progression into film camera operating I find my self immersed in a new but familiar environment. Shooting film has really allowed me to bring in some intriguing fluidity to my work, being able to move the camera around the subject and vice versa has been an incredible opportunity for me to capture some dizzying footage whilst maintaining technical excellency.
Working closely alongside Director of Photography Rob Franklin GBCT I have been able to massively increase my film knowledge by borrowing some of his wisdom from experienced mind and I am proud to be part of The Underwater Agency.
